FULL MATCH OF PROOF COPY WITH STOCK PRINTING

The final appearance of design before stock printing can be checked with many methods and devices. One of methods of the design viewing is to reproduce it on a computer screen. The work can be also printed on laser or ink printer. We can obtain a proof copy when these devices are calibrated. The proof copy can be also printed on different printing machines (wet proof) with formes (offset or flexographic plates, rotogravure cylinders).

All above methods impose different errors and distortions. Monitors are very often not calibrated with printers, and printers – with printing machines. In the end one obtains final product, which differs from approved design in colour. It is very important in case of stock printing that digital proof copies reflect final printing result with highest possible accuracy. The aim of Colour Management is to guarantee colour match of proof copy with stock copy during the whole printing process. That is why Janoschka Polska (together with the whole Janoschka Group) uses fingerprint test procedures.

Colour profiles are created on the basis of gathered data. The use of colour profiles for proof copy enables obtaining the so-called contract proof. The contract proof has the best colour match with the stock printing.
