Janoschka and the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaft und Kunst (HAWK) in Hildesheim award the winners of their commonly initiated project „Changing Views“.
Target for the participating students in cooperation with Axel Venn, professor for colour design and trend scouting, was to develop holographic designs and surfaces for the automotive, furniture and floor industry applying the DH4 process.
The DH4 process was in-house developed by the Janoschka site ZAG in France and so far exclusively used for safety and packaging printing.
The awarding was done by three jury members: Mr. Tobias Schreck, company Bürkle, leading manufacturer of printing machines for indirect printing, Mr. Bernd Herrmann, company Kurz, manufacturer of foils and car instruments, and Gerd Ohlhauser, surface designer for different companies (Perstorp, Resopal) with a deep insight into the market.
The press was represented by Mr. Richard Barth, editor of "Material-Technik Möbel“. Six students presented their work on behalf of print proofs and presentations.
The team with Mrs. Ann-Christin Mölleken and Mrs. Katharina Jourdan, the winner of the competition, could convince the jury with design drafts themed „Ornament Design“, „Nature Design“, „Decor Design“ and „Font Design“. Further were awarded two second place winners and a third winner with certificate and prize money.
„The feedback of all jury members was consistent: the innovative and creative solutions of the HAWK students provide an insight into the wide application range“, says Egon Eich, Janoschka Business Manager Decor, „Now this technology may successfully be offered to the market”.
